The aspire one is great for travelling around with, but the power adapter that comes with it is excessively bulky in comparison. I was browsing around ebay and came across these two replacements:

Mains power adapter with clip on plugs - the whole adapter plugs directly into the wall with just the lead to the laptop coming out.

Car power adapter - same sort of thing, a lump that plugs directly into the cigarette lighter socket with just one lead to the acer.

Total cost for both was £30 with shipping to the UK, which took 9 days. They are exactly as pictured in the auctions and within 0.2v of the acer original charger. Only just got them, so cant give a long term verdict, but they seem to be exactly what Im after..

I believe they are very good products. I purchased already both of them - waiting for delivery...

I purchased one of these AC units from Brando in HK. The body of the unit is fairly bulky, but you can slide off the plug attachment when you stow it, and there is no AC wire required, so all in all it is a better travel solution than the supplied adaptor.
