Tried installing Gnome-Do using yum, but failed and got a conflict message. I've been using gnome-do on my ubuntu laptop for everything and very much like to install gnome-do (without installing ubuntu). Anybody got gnome-do to work with the standard OS?

Gave up on gnome-do and installed launchy instead. Works as well as gnome-do, although i still prefer gnome-do.

You'd have to pull some gnome dependencies for that, maybe you could post the conflict message you were getting otherwise we just have to guess what the issue is.

Does launchy work on linpus? I tried it on ubuntu and it had focus issues (ai : when i open launchy i still have to move my mouse to click the textfield so i can type something) making the whole thing pretty useless. I now use gnomeDo (on ubuntu it's easy to install) and that works fine.
