    Hi everyone,

Iam using a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon running Windows 11, and I’ve encountered a black screen issue. The screen goes completely blank during startup, but I can hear the fan running and see the keyboard backlight, so the system seems to be active.

I have tried restarting, updating Windows, reinstalling the graphics drivers, and even connecting to an external monitor, but the issue persists.

Has anyone experienced this problem with Windows 11 on a ThinkPad X1 Carbon? Any advice or suggestions on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

A display initialization issue. Try this: force a screen refresh by pressing Win + Ctrl + Shift + B—this resets the graphics driver. If that doesn’t work, boot into Safe Mode (hold Shift while clicking Restart) and check for firmware or BIOS updates from Lenovo. If the external monitor also stays black, a deeper hardware issue might be at play. Let me know if any of these help!
