I just received a Broadcom 4321 n-compatible WiFi card for my Mac OS X Aspire One.

Therefore, I am hereby announcing the Dell 1390 Give-Away Competition. One of you will get my old card sent free of charge anywhere in the world!

How to enter: Send me a PM with the subject line "wifi" and your postal address.

    Rules:
    - Competition is open to ANYBODY, ANYWHERE!
    - This card should go to a person in need, so if you already have a functioning Mini-PCI WiFi card for running OS X, please don't apply. If you run a USB stick, feel free to apply.
    - Available to active members of this forum who run OS X on their Aspire One.
    - The winner will be randomly drawn by my girlfriend on Oct 1st 2008. Entries have to be in by 23.59 GMT on September 30th.

    May the luckiest person win!

I have received a lot of responses to this competition! The results will be in soon!

However, I have to make one remark: NOT A SINGLE ONE of the US competitors have entered "US", "USA" or "The United States of America" the final line of their address. They have simply assumed that their ZIP code and state is good enough for international postage.

But I understand. In these times, it's excusable that some of you may be reluctant to admit to your country of origin.

    (Come on, it IS funny.)

Note: NO competitors will be prejudiced by their lack of country information if it is immediately obvious to me where they are from. (Yes, there has been one Canadian entry who didn't mention Ontario being a Canadian province.)

    THE RESULTS ARE IN!

I received 17 valid entries. My girlfriend put them into an Excel spreadsheet, sorted the entries using a random index number, and the winner at the top was:

    *** muiiio ***

    Congratulations!

NOTE: Stay tuned for another competition coming up shortly: Free SATA Molex connectors for you motherboard hackers out there. This one will take place in the Hardware mods/hacks forum. Rules will be announced.
