Flash drive light doesn't turn off at removal

    I'm a new and happy purchaser of AA1 with Linux. My question is about the removal of my flash drive from the USB port. When I right click the remove flash drive icone and get the message that it is ok to remove the drive, the light doesn't go out like it does on a windows pc. Is this normal, or am I missing something.

    My flash drive's light stays on, too. Haven't had a problem with the drive, so I assume the light is meant to stay on when the drive is plugged in.

    I have had some that will stay on (my 2Gb & 4Gb Micro Cruzers), some will go out (2Gb DataTraveler) and some will stop blinking (Memorex 128Mb) when it is safe to remove it depends on the manufacture.
