first time battery charge

    For the first time you use the laptop do you need to charge untill the light is green, for 8hr or just plug in and you can use it? Thanks for any help.

    Newer rechargeable batteries don't need any of the special rituals and such. Just plug it in and go, mine came with about 85% on the 6-cell battery.
