    Hi,

Is it safe enough to add some add-ons to Firefox like Forecastfox and ColourfulTabs etc?

Reason I ask is Check for Updates is greyed out... (and why is that?)

    Thanks,
    Rowantree

Yes the addons are safe to install, at least I haven't any problems with the extensions I've installed.

Check for updates is greyed out is because it is installed through the package manager in Linpus so Firefox's built-in updater won't work, but it'll still be able to update any extensions you install.

Add-ons to Firefox that's first thing I'm adding after any installation. AdBlock Plus and Speed Dial are primary for me. Rest of the stuff works as well perfectly good... I'm 100% sure they are fine to install...

I added Zotero. Been using it for 2 or 3 weeks now. No problems yet. I only wish I had the toolbar bookmarks...

Yep, all seems to work OK.

I added ColorfulTabs and ForecastFox which are my two "standard" ones...

Hi Jolly....I would love to have Zotero as I have been using this for ages on my now dead netbook. I managed to install it on Firefox and OpenOffice but they don't seem to communicate with each other. Any advice?
I am using the standard AA1 packages- I have not upgraded FF or OpenOffice.
