Why on earth would you need that for an AspireOne?
A gaming laptop I could understand but for a netbook that would be stupid.

If you put your netbook on a pillow on your lap thats why its getting too hot!!!!! - those little rubber feet on the botom of the machine lift it slightly above a hard flat surface and allow air circulation.
try just putting it on a table, or a hardback book, or a tray, etc - im sure you already have one of these, they dont need a power source, and will let your netbook operate in the way it was designed to.
