Hello all, I've seen a lot of posts saying that there are a lot of posts about the Fan always being on. But I can not find one thread on this subject only. So that why I am asking the question.

I have reinstalled Windows XP Pro with SP3, and all updates and drivers. But the Fan is now always running, (or should I say running loadly). Is this normal and I have never notice it (only use the system 2 or 3 hours a week)? Or is there something I can do?

    Thanks for your help,

    Nick

The fan is suppose to be always running. You can use a1fanctrol or a1ctl to turnoff or lower the fan speed.

Will that have a negative effect?
    Thanks
