So I'm using the wonderful acerfand to manage the fan noise, and it's great. Really really works, the machine is silent nearly all the time. However, for some jobs, the fan comes on and stays on at a low level for ages, and that's kind of annoying.

What I'd like is for acerfand to turn the fan on high, full blast, and cool the machine faster. I'm a reasonable script hacker, so if I knew which values to push into the script to get that effect, I could probably do it, but the script as it stands has FAN_AUTO and it's not clear from anything I've seen if there is a FAN_LOW or FAN_HIGH register setting known.

    Any ideas?
