f1 function activated when lid is closed

    When my aspire one 532h lid is closed, it seems like the F1 key is being activated. I have the power option in XP set to lid closed>do nothing mode. When I set the lid close option to hibernate, it hibernates as usual. Very frustrating because I want to use the netbook closed when hooked up to my monitor. I upgraded the bios to 1.25. Any suggestion is very much appreciated.
