Extremely slow Internet

    I have searched all over this forum and alot of other forums and articles and still cant fix this...so anybody that can help, thanks in advance!

    Aspire one 160g, 1g ram, came with windows home sp3. Out of the box it had very slow internet connection, reformated Installed XP pro,reinstalled drivers, flashed the bios to 3305, updated wlan to 7.6.1.160. I'm currently having to use another laptop and right now im downloading the same file off of the acer website on both computers both hooked up to the same router, the acer is downloading at 15 kb/sec the laptop im using is going at 400 kb/sec.

    Anybody got any ideas?

    Out of the box, and on the XP pro install. Same results. Seems like either something is wrong with your AAO. Or there's something on your wifi home network that's causing it to slow down. Test the wired connection if it's faster. And also, can you test it on other Wifi networks? See if the slow down is consistent. It should not be slow out of the box.
