i want to know how do i install anything with linpux? i have a external dvd writer but it does not want to read the installation disc!?

Can you explain a little more about what you are trying to do please? Are you trying to boot an install disc from the BIOS or install applications within Linpus? Either way you're drive should be recognized automatically.
