    Hey guys.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I tried this kernel on my AAO. So far it seems to work:

I haven't tried most hardware, but so far no problems (well, no more than the stock kernel). Seems to boot with much less memory usage.

    That is very interesting.

Can you say anything on the boot-time? Is suspend working? What about the wifi? Is it ath5k or madwifi? Does it work out of the box? I'm really happy with SICKBOY's kernel. have you tried it? If so, is this better?

It's a 2.6.27 kernel so it most likely won't have the alsa updates to work with our hardware. I'll stick with sickboy thanks.

OK, from selecting a kernel on GRUB to the NBR displaying on-screen icons
    • Stock intrepid kernel (2.6.27-9-generic): 57 secs[/*:m:3rv6x8vc]
    • Eeebuntu lean kernel (2.6.27-8-eeepc-lean): 50 secs[/*:m:3rv6x8vc]

    On eeepc kernel:
Skype test call works (speaker and mic)
    Webcam works
Wifi is ath5k (no WLAN LEDs)

Suspend works, but it it waited two minutes before it actually did it. What's funny is that I clicked suspend twice (about one minute apart) before it suspended the first time. It then suspended (spontaneously) again about 1 minute after coming back from suspend.

Also, no sound after suspend. This was with the model set to 'acer'.

SD slots only work when occupied at boot (even the right hand one).

I might try sickboy's kernel and do a 3-way comparison.

Nice. Any idea if this is "lighter weight" than a normal Intrepid install with NBR slapped on?
