Dwarf Fortress

    I have been playing a lot of Dwarf Fortress on my Aspire One... For an ascii based game it requires a pretty strong processor. I actually tweak the settings for better fps and reduce the playing area. Use the Dwarf Fortress window calculator to adjust for screen size (by editing the init file.

    Personally I prefer to play with a tileset found in the mods section of the forums. I have been using Ironhands which is a great set.

    If you want a deep game that has an amazing amount of complexity to it this one is for you.
