Drop in MHz after ram install

    I dropped in a 1 gig sodimm into my Aspire One and now my cpu read 756 MHz, anyone tell me what the deal with that is?

    That's just the power saving mode.... you in battery mode? having it on max battery saving will step down the CPU speed to reduce consumption and increase battery life. Just choose another scheme or plugin and you'll see 1.6ghz. ;)

    ok still showing as 756 MHz after changing the power profile. Is there another power setting that I am not aware of (win xp)
