Downgrading from Windows Vista to XP legally

    hi there.
    someone told me today that we can downgrade officialy from Vista to XP without no extra charge. did someone tried this ? what are the steps to follow ?

    i searched for eula's and posts an i found that this is possbile, but only if you have vista ultimate or bussines, and with that you can downgrade to xp pro.
    the problem is that my pc came with Windows Vista Home Basic pre-installed ... so i can't downgrade here in romania ... that's bad :|
