hey guys, I just realized that my cpu doesn't support xd bit? how come?
no, not saying cpu-z doesn't show it, cpu-z won't show it of course but everest said that it is disabled and in system properties, in performance options, data execution prevention is also saying that processor doesn't support hardware based DEP. is this a problem in the bios, or does this cpu not support XD bit?
the cpu should have it, i'd blame the bios at this point. Acer isn't my top pick for releasing bios fixes for anything. I have a perfectly good laptop that has VT but they will not release a bios for it that supports/enables VT so I can't even run/test 64 bit virtual machines. And add to that, no usb 2.0 support from the BIOS on whereas the One has USB 2.0 support right from the BIOS (great for booting from USB devices). They definitely need to get on the ball with some new BIOS support tech's that care.
