Does UNE 10.04 run good on a AAO D250?

    i was thinking of switching from win7 to ubuntu netbook edition 10.04 but i need to know if it will run faster than win7 cause i dont really want to switch if its gonna run slower or about the same i did try ubuntu desktop 9.10 a few months ago and it was a bit slower than win7 also i see theres a Kubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04 would that be faster maybe sorry about all the questions im new to linux so i need a user friendly one like ubuntu

    Ubuntu Netbook Edition won't run any faster than regular Ubuntu since both use the same Gnome desktop environment. Ubuntu is a nice workhorse but it's definitely not a racehorse. If you don't like Windows, there are other netbook OSes you might consider, such as Moblin or Google Chromium (but I believe both are still in prerelease status).
