Hi i'm using voodoo kernel 9.5.0 and iatkos 10.5.6.
My cpu run always at 1660 mhz this causes a less battery duration.
Does exist a working kext to use intel speed step? This cpu can work from 790 to 1600 mhz.
I've tried voodoo power and intelenhanced power management, but doesn't works the second give ma an istant kernel panic.
The first run mut make the system instable...

I'm using the voodoo kernel (as prescribed in the 10.5.6 iAtkos dummy guide) with the voodoo power kexts. Has been very stable so far, not sure what's the difference.

    voodoo power kexts

Is this installed when installing Voodoo_Kernel_Release_1.0_Rev_A.dmg or is it a separate installation ? If so where to find it.

    Regards
    Daniel

One solution could be to install Superhai's power management app and disable auto throttle when you want to hear music. ;)

I deleted VoodooPower for the same reason as stated above me. It worked perfectly when on AC power but it was really annoying when I was on battery since the sound was distortioned but never had problems with video playback.

Now that I understand the problem better, I can too replicate it on my system.. It is quite a trade-off, hopefully a newer version will fix the problem soon!

Yes i've been tryed but it give me a kernel panic.
    Someone have tryed using Acpicputhrottle?
It's a old kext used in Tiger but with a login script is possible to load them into leopard.
I've used that in 10.5.4 with speedstep kernel and it works...
    Anyone tried using voodoo 9.5.0?
