    Hey,

as always I wanted to use Ubuntu on my new Acer Aspire One 531.
But battery life disappointed me, only 2/3 of XP's battery life - thats as bad as Vista or Seven...

Is there (or will become released soon) any distro with good battery life?
Or is XP the only option if I want 7h battery life?

    bye and thanks

If you can get it to work with Wifi properly you may want to try Kuki Linux its for the One, it does not seem to be too hard on the CPU and has special battery life settings. However I like many others have had problems getting it to work with Wifi - which is to say the least a big disappointment. That aside though it does look good.

    Best,

You may want to consider wattOS. Based on Ubuntu, it has been configured to use less energy.

You can find downloads of the latest beta version at ...

    Cheers.
