dimensions of the 6-cell-battery

In theory it should definitely be bigger. I wonder If they'll give us a new sleeve with the six cell? haha a doubt it.

Good that it sticks out behind the One and not beneath it. That way, it makes it easier to hold in your hand.
 
That does look horrid! I wonder if they'll ever bring out a 4-cell? 3 1/2- 4 hours would be optimum for me, as the best comparison between battery life and looks

Blimey, you're right, it looks daft. I might prefer to carry around a spare 3-cell battery than have this carbuncle sticking out of the back of my One.
 
Wow! Is that for real?? I was thinking of getting a 6-cell but that's just crazy!
 
call me over the top, but i think it definitely effects portability, as i wouldn't be seen carrying around the one with that thing attached to it
 
Does anybody know the actual WEIGHT of the 6 cell battery compared to the 3 cell battery? All the sites so far mention the different in One in terms of combining the HDD/6 cell vs SSD/3 cell. However, I have a HDD/3cell model on order so I want to see how much weight difference the hard drive itself makes.
 
It sure looks pretty big, but it's not the end of the world. You will be able to buy 3-cell batteries on ebay for dirt cheap after release if you really want it for vanity. In terms of size, the battery only sticks out 2.5 cm according to NCIX.com The picture is probably accurate, but in reality it's not very much.
 
Well I'd guess it actually turns the battery into some kind of handle, so to speak. A single picture is not enough to see if it's really ugly or not, as this might integrate reasonably well with the general design of the machine. Wait & see ;)

Post them as an image on the fourm please, not a link. I spend my time at work researching UMPCs and trying to decide which one is right for me. Not getting on with the job i was contracted to do.. OH WELL!, ill do it later..

It looks better from the side, it should blend in nicely when the screen is fully opened. The hinge kind of swivels back, so the screen will almost be over top of the battery. It doesn't really matter though, I mean, for the cost of this thing with 6-cell (429 here in Canada) I can buy an additional 3 cell just for looks, and still be cheaper then either the eee pc or the msi wind.
 
Wow that battery looks weird are they gonna sell 3 cell batterys also besides the 6 even tho the standard is a 3cell
