Im trying to gasp on the memory specs I keep reading different types: The specs below are from two different vendors. Are the specs the same or are they different? Vendor-1 ONBOARD DDR2 1GB 533FSB ( SODIMM slot for upgradable to Max 1.5GB Using SODIMM Module ) Vendor-2 Memory 1GB Memory Spec 512MB onboard/512MB SODIMM slot It seems that Vendor-1 is just one 1g memory built in. thanks
Heres what I found out There are indeed different memory setups for the Acer one. There is such a thing as a one 1 GB DDR2 setup which can be advertised as 1GB. You can also advertise the Acer One as having 1 GB but with one 512 built in and one 512 slot. The one 1 GB DDR2 is the better setup.
Unless something's changed, they're the same. Vendor-2 is giving you a clearer description. You can replace the 512MB SODIMM with a 1GB SODIMM. The SODIMM slot is "onboard"
