Did my AAO die or is it in need of a BIOS update?

    I bought it in September last year.

    It went into standby and didn't come out.

    Power light is on

    Fan spins

    Screen is off

    Battery is charging as I have it plugged in.

    I can turn it off. Attempts to turn it off are met by black screen, fan going, power light on, no hard drive activity

    This has been posted before but no clear solution is obvious to me.

    Please advise urgently...

    Is it dead?

    Hi, Your AAO has the same symptoms as my AAO 150D had. You should find reflashing the bios should restore your netbbook.

    You will find instructions on the forum on how to do the reflash.

    Thanks, I found the BIOS update solution and it's all fixed!

    Yeah major bump but I just wanted to post that I'm so glad I found this forum. I had the same problem and would have ended up hairless if it wasn't for this post pointing me to the solution.
