Dell laptop question drivers

This is my first Dell anything. It is a laptop. The WiFi and Intel video have driver updates from Intel & Dell. Both installations
fail.
1. Is this a Dell thing ?
2. Can I only install drivers that Dell provides ?

To answer your question sometimes the drivers you are trying to download may not be compatible
with your exact version of your machine you will need to goto the support page for dell.

You can download drivers from the manufactures own sites.


Try this free program it will download the correct drivers
it's called driver booster, it will save you time looking

Thanks. I will never get any program from Iobit again and I have never had luck with a driver program.

 

I understand that you may be a little reluctant to use Iobit programs
as I am, but I do use the Iobit uninstaller, and their driver booster.

I have used these two programs now for a couple of years.

 

Sorry, no way do I trust Iobit and I have been around many years. Stop trying to push a company who many
do not trust. If a driver does not work from the manufacturer then there is something wrong.
That was why my question was posted the way it was. A DELL THING ! I also have an HP laptop and in the past, three netbooks and Asus laptops that did not have driver problems. I have heard over the years about the way Dell does things and now I know.

 

I did a manual install of the .inf file. Forgot about that !
