    Hi,

I have an Aspire A110 with Linpus Lite (fully updated) which I have installed Fan control, Firefox 3, Thunderbird and VLC.
I have also added 1Gb of RAM and removed the swap partition.

The machine boots very fast but there seems to be a further 20 second delay before the wireless reports it has connected to the WLAN.

This delay wasn't as bad with the initial Linpus build (before running the update process).

Does anyone know what causes this delay and any idea how to minimise it ?

    Thanks

    Gavin

I've noticed the same thing; it would be great if the wireless could load and connect more quickly. Any solutions?

The linpus lite boot sequence has been heavily modified by acer to give us that lightning-quick bootup time. Unfortunately, part of that is that network management starts up very late. Overall, time to connection is still very fast though.
