D2D freezes up..? what next

So I caught some nasty annoying virus that kept "scanning for viruses" I turned my comp off planning to do system restore and now I see the Acer logo screen, then it goes straight to a blinking curser in top left corner. Even If I try to press ALT F10 the cursur stops blinkning but that is it, just freezes up. Whats the next direction? Is my netbook an expensive dinner plate now..?

I have Acer Aspire One D250 KAV60

Try entering the BIOS setup screen and disabling the Quiet Boot mode. This will remove the Acer splash screen and will give you a bit more information as to what is happening while the machine is booting. Post back to let us know if the BIOS is detecting the HDD/SSD and how it goes about booting from that point on.
