I just tried the newly released eee pc version of CrunchBang Linux, and I must say I'm impressed.

Wifi (no LEDs) works out of the box, it's very lean and fast, nice software preload, and it's Ubuntu-based so there's lots of software available. Also, you could use sickboy's custom kernel debs without having to compile your own kernel.

It looks like it needs a few optimizations for the SSD, but can you believe that it idles around 8.7 watts?

If you're into the minimalist blackbox window manager, cruncheee runs openbox. The conky setup and keyboard shortcuts are pretty nice too.
