    Howdy

Just got AAO and loving it, i have searched before asking my question, as i didnt want to incur the "friendly" responses some people have been getting.

Windows says i have 1Gb of RAM, but yet CPU-Z says i have 512MB DDR2 in slot 1, and slot 2 apparently is empty. I have a stick of 512MB DDR2 i pulled from my HP laptop that i was gonna put inside.

can anyone shed any light on this?

    Ta.

I suspect that you are looking at the SPD tab in CPU-Z.

In CPU-Z v1.49 If you look at the Memory tab in the panel with the "General" caption it should report a size of 1024 MBytes, which concurs with what Windows System Information is reporting.

CPU-Z does not read the RAM that is soldered on the board as technically, it is not in a "slot".
On the main screen, you should see 1024MB reported, that is correct.
