Contacts not showing online in Messenger

I am able to open a text window with my contacts but they do not show as online when they are in fact on line. Also I do not show up as online. Any ideas as to why this is not working. Two of my contacts are using Live Messenger not MSN messenger. Would this be the reason?

I have the same problem: I have 2 MSN accounts and 1 GTalk one.

I wasn't able to view ALL MY CONTACT that use MSN or Live Messenger in fact the application reports me 0/0 contacts in every group. :evil:
It was quite strange because the first times it works propertly, but now I can see only GTalk contacts.

Moreover the application is configured to show all contacts of all accounts [GTalk/MSN], and If I try to contact using MSN on my Windows Notebook I see all the contacts so I think that could be a Acer Messanger Bug or something like this.

Does anyone know how to help me?

I had this problem to, however after using the Acer One Live Update the issue was resolved.
 
strange cuz the first time i tried to use aim, none of my contacts would show either D:
i thought it was just me ^^
 
Stupid question, but have you ran the update again? The first time mine downloaded updates for the update app i think, if that makes sense?
 
i reran the update and it worked. problem solved. now i have a new problem: video and voice calls don't work on messenger.

any ideas?
