Computer to Television?

    Is there an "easy" ;) way to get movies I download in avi to view on my television? This is not a flat panel TV, but one of those huge monster projection tvs. My cable box is HD.
    I love my little laptot, but would like to see movies on a bigger screen.

    There is a way of using AA1 as a movie player. Easiest way of doing this is use projector as external monitor connected to VGA output in AA1 and play movies in full screen mode...

    Is this what you need to output the VGA out of the computer to a TV:

    They sell on Ebay for $40 to $60.

    The other option is to buy a video editing program that will allow you to burn a DVD from an .avi file.
