compatibility of aspire3 one with NEC lcd projectors

i cannot use NEC lcd projector with my aspire one. everytime i start my cmputer (connected to the NEC projector) nothing appears on the screen but only on the projection. but for a few seconds, the projector displays a "no signal" display and then everything appears on my laptop screen, nothing on the projection.please explain because most of the lcd projector we use in the university is of the NEC model. thank you very much.. :)
