Is closing the lid the same as pressing fn f4? If not than what is equivalent?

    Thanks,
    Rusty

    Which operating system?

I'm almost certain that in Windows XP the actions for the Lid, Sleep and Power buttons are separately configurable (choice of Standby, Hibernate or Shutdown).

xp right now. I knew about configuring in xp power setting - but - it does not define what the lid switch does. I just got this machine on Friday. Thanks again romine- loving the touchpad software by the way :00)
