Chromebook or standard laptop

    Hi, I'm a freelance writer. As you know that's not the most lucrative business and I need a new laptop. I cant decide whether I want a Chromebook or a standard laptop. I've given myself a $500 budget and there is very little wiggle worm. I want to know if I can get all my work done ( freelance writer ) on a Chromebook or do I need a fully fledged laptop with Windows 7 ? .
