Yesterday I got an Aspire One AO531h-1440 (the thinner one with 3G). Each time that I perform a CHKDSK errors are reported. The first time was "Correcting errors in the uppercase file". Subsequently, the following errors have been reported:

"CHKDSK discovered free space marked as allocated in the volume bitmap."

"Correcting errors in the Volume Bitmap"

"CHKDSK discovered free space marked as allocated in the volume bitmap"

"Correcting errors in the master file table’s (MFT) BITMAP attribute
Correcting errors in the Volume Bitmap"

Performing a CHKDSK /F or CHKDSK /R does not correct the errors. Performing a system recovery to factory conditions (ALT + F10) did not solve the recurring CHKDSK error problem.

I suspect that Acer FDISKs and/or formats the hard drives on these netbooks in an unusual manner causing the aforesaid behavior in all their units. What has been your experience?
