Changing icons on Acer desktop?

    I have a question for the Linux guru's on this board. I've made a few mods to my AAO, added FF3, VLC, and GIMP. Thing is, I'd like to keep the original icons to keep the desktop looking stock. For example, I want to use the mplayer icon to launch VLC. Is this possible?
