Typically to change the screensaver in xfce, you go into Settings -> Display and there's an option. However in this version that comes with the One, there are no options at all.

Anyone know how to change the screensaver on these things?

Acer has answered this in their "Technical FAQ's" http://support-web.acer-euro.com/app/cs ... enDocument

Problem:

How can i change the screen saver in Linpus Linux Lite onthe Aspire One?

Solution:

Got to the files menu and open one of the file managers. Clear the input field in the upper right corner of the file manager window and type in /usr/share/applications/ and hit return.

You will see the application directory and within the screensaver program. Double click on it and you can change the screensaver options.

Thanks! I didn't bother to look it up on their site because even the docs on the AA1 are wrong.

When I try to change the screensaver I get the error message:

Failed to execute file: (name of screensaver)
Failed to execute child process
"floaters" (No such file or directory).

I get this for all the screensavers I try.

Any ideas???

You need to scroll down the page and double click on the Screensaver program itself. There is a "screensavers" folder near the top, but what you want is lower down the list. Hope this helps.

You rock. I can't believe I didn't see that. Thanks, now I have floating feet as a screensaver!

Cool!
