CFL or LED display panels?

    Somewhere around 2008 all the display panels switched from fluorescent backlights to LED.
    Most CFLs resonate around 50khz and many LEDs as low as 200Hz. These are square waves. The increased off time of the light is presumably what contributes to less power consumption.

    Reason I ask the question is because CFL is no longer obtainable as all have gone LED. There are concerns with the human influence of the difference in technology.

    I have noticed a difference in authoring texts. Having to write by hand first so as to not go blank staring at a blinking cursor.

    Have anyone else noticed a difference?
