can i install picasa on A110 (linux)

    i know there is a version for linux

    but as it is Acer interface, how to install picasa to it?

    (if possible, can anyone show me how to do step by step)

    No.

    It uses an internal copy of wine.

    Hi, i downloaded picasa fine and installed with acers software-installer. but the programme seems to have vanished in hot air. cant find it anyw2here, lieke the realplayer after installation

    any idea, where it may be? Linpus-desktop seems to hide new programmes, others are shown in menue, and again others can be called up by pressing alt+F2

    me too ~

    i just wonder where can i find and open the newly installed programme

    coz after installation, i just can 'find' the program by using the search function,

    however, many files pop up and i don't know which one should i open to start the program,

    and some files can't be opened too.

    Hi,

    I may have found one solution, press ALT + F2 and type command: Picasa then press ENTER, and the programme should start.
    why it doesn't appear on the menue, only linux knows. anyhow it works fine that way

    To customize the Acer GUI, you need to edit the file /home/user/.config/xfce4/desktop/group-app.xml

    Unless you can figure out the syntax of this file on your own and are comfortable with and editor like mousepad, vi, emacs DO NOT ATTEMPT to customize the Acer GUI; people have had major hassles customizing the GUI.
