Can I buy one with 3 cell bat and replace with 6 cell bat?

    So far the only units I can find running windows xp have the bilingual keyboard and not the standard US one. I can find one localy with the specs I want and a 3 cell battery, but can I buy the 6 cell battery online and replace the 3 cell battery with the 6 cell battery? I am thinking that if the batterys are different sizes than it may not fit, but I have not seen the 6 cell one in person to compare. I have only seen pictures. I know this would be more expensive but I am thinking that if anything is wrong with the unit than I can handle the return localy at the store I bought it at.

    Also does anyone know if they will release a One with the 6 cell battery in the US any time soon?

    the 6-cell version is "out". A lot of places have it listed, but not actually in stock yet. I ordered one off amazon and it's not estimated to ship until end of September.

    the 6-cell battery will fit in any aa1, but it sticks out the back.

    However, if you're thinking you'll need the 6-cell battery, just pre-order the 6-cell version of the laptop and wait patiently. You'll save a lot of money. The 6-cell version only costs $400. While the current Winxp model costs $350, add the $120 battery and it will cost you $470...is $70 worth the wait? I think so.
