buying a second battery

    Does anyone know where i can get a secondary 3 cell battery at?

    Right now, i only believe ebay is your best bet for the moment, but i could be wrong. Anybody else?

    Newegg has them as far as I know. Just search their site under Acer Aspire One.

    Yeah, Newegg only has the 6-cell battery, not the 3-cell.

    The battery listed when I searched aspire one was that "Aspire 1660 Travelmate 2000" model (it says so under specifications) but if you found a one battery for the one on new egg can you throw up the link

    has anyone tried this 6-cell battery from newegg? if so, can you post your battery life? Seems like a 3rd party, not OEM from Acer--- will that risk frying my One?

    i am surprised manufacturer's arent rushing to sell spare 3-cell and 6-cell batteries. if they were reasonably priced the demand for these batteries will be HUGE.

    Unless NewEgg used the wrong picture, this battery isn't for the AA1.

    Look at where the contacts are. In the pic, they're off to the side. On the AA1, they're in the middle.

    Must be a keyword error on the item.

    If anyone actually knows where to order a 6 cell battery from, please spill the beans!

    Now that I have the RAM maxed out and a 250 gig hd w/ vista, the battery life is the one outstanding item on my One.
    I'm sure that many are in the same boat...

    Presumably they assume that people would buy a general laptop battery that has Acer tips. Those after all can also be used on other laptops, making them more generally useful than a One-only battery.
