Hi, I purchased the Linux version with 8gig SSD hard drive and was wondering is it possible to boot with an external hard drive with a Windows XP install.

I am sorry but I am very new to this.

I am in the same boat as you & am busy looking through any forum to find the answer. There must be something easy to use the benefits of both Linpus & XP

There is a way. You can use GRUB loader to run WinXP from let's say external HDD or from SDHC card - one of guys did it: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=3105.
