Just a heads-up to new users who connect external DVD-ROM drives to their AA1
I have the 120hdd XP version AA1 - I connected an external DVD-ROM drive to install some apps
When told by Windows to restart after installation of prog, the AA1 will boot up as normal -
Having the DVD-ROM connected it took much much longer with a BLANK SCREEN for about 1min - 1min 30secs
BEFORE the Acer screen and the MS welcome screen appeared.
So, do NOT be tempted to switch off/on or any such activity - because this will obviously interupt processes
going on. You can see the disc activity light flickering...
Hope this might help avoid a potential problem for new users
