    Hey everyone.

Acer Aspire One, 1 GB, 160GB HD, Extended Battery

A few days ago I noticed my Windows time was off. I synced it with the online services and it was off again today. My best clue was that the time was the same as when I put the system to sleep yesterday.

I went into BIOS and the clock was frozen.

If anyone has had this problem, advice would be great.

For anyone else, can you confirm that when you load the BIOS menu the time actually increments as normally in the menu screen. If it is always frozen, I guess I have to start looking somewhere else.

Any other advice would be great.

    Thanks
    Matt

Yes, the time updates every second in the BIOS settings screen on both v3114 and v3309.

Thanks for the info. At least now I know the scope of the problem.

I'm going to try to see if newegg (retailer) or acer has any advice or warranty.

In case I come up empty, has anyone tried to replace the system battery of the aspire? Does anyone know if the battery is even accessible. I'm only going to crack the case if I can't get any official support, but I don't want to crack it if the battery is impossible to get to.

Any other advice would be awesome. Thnx.

It's accessible. I saw it today, it's on the bottom of the MOBO. Have you tried updating your BIOS? Might be worth it before cracking the case open.
