Guys i have a laptop that has BIOS supervisor password, i do not know the password, that's why i'm asking for help.
ok now i've tried many things, the main reason i need to access BIOS is because, of new Windows installation.

I've tried so far generating, the code, after 3 times password writing failure. there is no code after the fail :/ it just locks up, and i need to restart. i've tried opening the whole laptop, and locating the EEPROM i cannot seem to find it. found susceptible chips like JCmos1 "very small one" and USROM, no chip just 6 metal bits where chip could be soldered. but still no luck finding the EEPROM, i also found the whole BIOS chip, marked "winboard"... etc. but i need to short that EEPROM, please help me find the EEPROM guys.

i've also taken out the hard drive, and put it in my other desktop, and installed new windows 10, trying to bypass the situation. but when i opened the laptop, and tried taking out MB batttery, the BIOS DATE got resetted, and now i'm locked from accessing the new installed windows 10 GREAT!

SOO is there any solution to this bios password problem? i need to remove it, i do not want to replace the whole MB, it's too expensive.

So i checked around everywhere possible. It seems the "Lenovo Thinkpad L460" has a whole different game of EEPROM. It cannot be found! I found the BIOS chip "winboard" but replacing this chip won't do it i think! I guess i have no chances left to remove this password. It looks so close! That small "jcmos1" chip looks suspectible. I don't know what to do :(

Leaving the battery out longer may help. Try a few hours so everything can discharge.
