Hi everyone, I am new. I have encountered a problem with the last 3 bios revisions. It seems that BIOS revision 1.21 constantly causes the hard drive to fall asleep every few minutes whether you are doing something or not. This results in the system temporarily freezing. The other two bios before 1.21 also have exhibited this behavior. For the time being, I reverted back to BIOS 1.03 and the bad computer behavior with the hard drive stopped. For the time being I am not going to update the BIOS unless they include a changelog of what the bios does.

I was wondering why my d150 hd had started doing that after upgrading the bios, despite checking and resetting the windows options to no affect. (Before my screen broke  )

I have used all three of those BIOS versions and have not experienced that problem at all. I'm on Windows 7 RTM.

    Hi,

I've tried also the last 2 bios updates, and i had some problems.
I start from the version 1.06, whitch was on the original netbook.
With both newest versions, including 1.21, i have a lot of problems like:
    - HDD was wrong recognised, everytime when windows was started the drivers were new installed..this was happent for 5-6 times, then i revert to the original 1.06 bios version.( switching from IDE to SATA in bios was not a soultion )
    - extremmly low performance, slowdowns
    - i was no more able to reinstall a new fresh windows. - everytime BSOD !

did u guys encountered the same problems ? did i done sonething wrong ?
I flash the bios via Windows.
My acer is an D250 version.
