Battery problems

    I have the acer aspire one D250-1962 i just bought it brand new 3 weeks ago and i decided to get a 6 cell battery cause the 3 cell only lasts for 3hr.The trouble that i have with this new battery is that when i'm using the netbook and i plug the ac power in after the battery charges to 100% then if i leave the ac pluged in it causes my netbook to weird out all of sudden the battery icon is drained and then it shuts off.but then i re-turn it on and leave ac unpluged it is normal.is this normal or is there something wrong this never happened with the original 3 cell battery.is it because the battery doen't like to get over charged?the battery i got i got from ebay and its the second one cause i returned the first one thinking it was a deffective battery.This netbook has windows xp on it.
