Battery Power Consumption/Battery charging

    1) What is the best way in battery consumption to watch a movie either from an SDHC card or through the player? I reckon that battery's power will be consumed more if I watch a movie withe the DVD player inside the laptop.

    2) Is there an universal battery charger which can charge batteries outside a laptop?
