Can anyone tell me what the likely impact on battery life will be if I replace the 8GB SSD with a Toshiba 1.8" ZIF drive, particularly the MK3008GAL model as used in 30GB iPods?

I managed to break my Linpus installation by removing SCIM. I decided to reinstall XP Home instead. It's early days yet but the XP installation does seem to be quite usable for basic web browsing and Office 2003 tasks. I have 512MB of memory and both the SSD and an 8GB SDHC expansion card are formatted with FAT32.

I have a spare 1GB SODIMM ready to throw in and I am contemplating doing the ZIF drive upgrade while I have the case open.
