Bad HD out of the box?

    This is my second AAO, I broke the first one. This one has a very quiet fan, but the hard drive (WD1200BEVS) is super loud seeking; sounds like dice being shaken. I think that my old machine had the same drive and that this is a problem so that I should return it. Running HDtune on it right now... I like the fan... HDtune is showing some dropouts in performance, and that corresponds to the loud noise (reseeks maybe). Back to the store for another one I guess.

    OK, I took that one back and got another. They were out of white, so I had to get a Blue like the first one that I broke. Interestingly, although it says 120GB on the box, it has a 160GB seagate drive in it. This one the drive is fine, but the fan is a bit noisier. The last one had a perfect fan. I guess you can't have it all with the AAO.
